LOYALIST RACE – Saturday, September 7, 2024
Hello Racers!
The Loyalist Race is quickly approaching; it is the Saturday following Katie Gray.

There is information required to ensure the after-race activities are successful.

Please supply the following information directly to Kim Wilkes by THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 5th if you are racing/attending (drive arrivals) atkimberleylander1@gmail.com

1) will you be docking or just finishing and returning to Picton? We need to know so there is sufficient room and to move Aquanimity to Belleville if required.
2) if you are docking, draw depth and length.
3) if you are docking, are you staying overnight (affects your location on the dock)?
4) number of people staying for dinner PLUS any people coming in by car related to your boat.
5) if you are aware of anyone else driving in, please ask them to send numbers.

We endeavour to have a variety of items to meet dietary needs of all. Please bring your own beverages.
We expect to serve food 2 hours after the first boat arrives but there will be snacks provided until dinner is served. I would expect dinner to be at 4pm-ish to allow returning boats to get back.

Thank you
Kim & Muren

KATIE GRAY
For those boats intending to do the Katie Gray, several boats, Oh!, Kraken, Blown Away, Lickety, and perhaps others are intending to do an informal race from PEYC QP5 to BQYC – no points, no counter, no trophy – just fun.
We plan to start via rabbit Friday (August 30, 2024) at 10am – unless the weather sucks.

Anyone that wants to join is welcome.  We are thinking that we will restart at Q13 at Forester Island – so a two leg race series.  This allows the slower boats (like Lickety) to catch up 😉
Perhaps drop Steve a line of you are planning to participate, steve@ellwood.ca.

Additionally, anyone wanting to come to the Katie Gray post-race after party at PEYC on Saturday, August 31, 2024, are more than welcome to come and hear County Crossroads. You don’t have to race to have fun. County Crossroads starts at around 7:30 to 8PM.
